Tyrolean Crossing in the Nare River Cave

In many parts of the Nare the river flows along a sheer wall on one side but with a river bank on the opposite side.

The river was crossed many times using Tyroleans. The rope was fixed in place initially by launching a grappling hook across using an air launcher.

The first person across then fixed the rope more securely and as much out of the wateras possible).

Armageddon

The end of the cave was reached in an area which was given the name Armageddon.

At this point the river was so powerful and the roof so low that it became impossible to progress any further.
