The Laos 2010 expedition took place from 21st January to 6th February. A five man team also carried out a pre-expedition reconnaisance of the area around Vieng Thong.

"The Mulu Caves 2009 expedition was based at Camp 5 in the Melinau Gorge. A team of sixteen British cavers, with the close support of National Park staff and local porters, carried out exploration in Southern Benarat and Northern Api. The 2009 European Expedition to Northern Laos took place from 12th to 26th January. The objectives were to complete exploration in Houaphan Province and to look at a new area in Oudomxay. In both areas an attempt would be made to identify caves which had potential for tourism.
"The Mulu Caves 2007 expedition was based at Camp 5 in the Melinau Gorge. A team of sixteen British cavers, with the close support of National Park staff and local porters, carried out exploration in Southern Benarat and Northern Api. A total of 25.8 kms of cave was explored and surveyed and the total length of the Clearwater Cave System was extended to 151.4 km confirming its current status as 10th longest cave in the world."
